An unusual visitor 17th Jan: a Royal Saudi Air Force C-130 Hercules 475; on its way in an engine failed so instigating a full emergency procedure, note the still prop on the right wing.

To start off the New year a FV of Jet2 737 G-GDFB, it arrived on the evening of the 4th Jan 2012 as an LBA divert. Luckily it stayed while  5th Jan. I had a job holding the camera steady in the strong gusty winds, abandoning the usual photo mound I kept my feet on terra firma. Clive Featherstone.

A lucky shot was this A4 steam loco (been told its named Bittern, but temporary renamed Dominion of New Zealand passing through Finningley as I waited for S5-BDG Citation 560XL to take off -
